KongInsight is free while we launch. There is nothing to buy today: the whole map, every layer and every detail card is open to everyone, with no account and no usage limit. If that changes, this page changes first.

    What you get

    • The complete map: land-use zoning (11,953 zones), buildings (342,249 footprints), building age, land lots (375,154), school nets, statutory building-height limits
    • Unlimited detail cards — year built, storeys, height and the records on file for any building, lot or zone you tap
    • 3D building models from the Lands Department, with per-floor highlighting as you move the cursor
    • Sun & shadow: real solar position for any date and time, computed against surrounding buildings
    • Government records at an address — 57 CSDI datasets, from building orders to licences
    • Share any view with anyone, no account needed
    • Full interface in English, 繁體中文 and 简体中文

What KongInsight actually is

KongInsight is a web application. It draws Hong Kong buildings, land lots, zoning and statutory height limits on a map, renders the government's 3D building models, and computes sunlight and shadow for a chosen date and time. Every figure it shows is generated automatically from Hong Kong government open data — Lands Department, CSDI and data.gov.hk.

It is software you operate yourself. We do not act as a property agent, appraiser or adviser, we do not value your property for you, and no human reviews your searches. Nothing in the product is financial, investment or legal advice.

Billing, taxes and currency

There are no paid plans on sale today, so nothing is charged and no payment details are collected. If we introduce paid plans, they will be listed here first, in both Hong Kong dollars and US dollars, and payments will be processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as our merchant of record — Paddle would handle the transaction and any sales tax or VAT, and appear as the seller on your card statement and invoice.
